Lagos is a town in the Algarve region, located in the south of Portugal.
The Municipality of Lagos has focused on administrative modernization in order to approach the citizen to municipal services and a permanent optimization of services provided to citizens.
Challenge
The Municipality of Lagos intended to implement a territorial management solution, capable of integrating existing geographic information into the municipality, integrating information produced by external entities, delegating management, and updating the information of its responsibility, based on modern Smart Cities concepts.
Results
Ease of use, which makes it possible to be made available to any citizen;
Centralization of urban information, speeding decision-making processes, enabling better care to city citizens;
Urban process management:
Around 1700 processes were analyzed through the application. The new tool takes less than 1 minute which allows us to save over 200 working hours waiting for an answer from the old system
Automatization of incident management processes:
Where users receive feedback about their incidents states. The incidents have several states (received, in progress, and completed) and the responsible teams receive and send details in real time about the incidents.
